Creating a Vector Portrait Illustration for further use

In this case, “client” was my dear mom, for birthday invitation of a round number a few years back. I stuck to a comic style here to make it a little playful and fun to look at. It was supposed to feel a bit playful and cool, because it’s a good description of her and the friendships she keeps.

The original photo I worked from is a little more cropped so I had to extend her Torso and Jacket and left it with a fizzy and “sketchy” border.
