I had been working on and sharing paintings of various people and scenes in a smudged, smooth painting style with hard comic vector contours and he asked me to do a Freelance Painting of his daughter the same way. So he sent me a few images and I got to work. I had to recreate arms and parts of the clothing as in the original image, she was held up by her parent and it influences the way arms and clothing show and fall.

The client ended up very happy with the result and hanging a large printed version of it in his apartment. This was a lovely job to do, and rewarding as well.

Since the client is an artist himself (he's amazingly creative, check him out), it felt great working for him and I appreciated the communication :) Also, his daughter was super cute and it was a very enjoyable project to do!
She is now, I believe, in her teenage years and the painting still hangs in the apartment, and it's an honor to know and a pleasure to think about it. I would happily do more commissions like this!
